Two whole months of work. Yikes. Remind me to stop procrastinating.

After finishing my first EP, "bon odori" (which is now available for FREE, links at the bottom) back in February, I wasn't exactly planning to take a hiatus more so than get right back to making some music. This actually didn't happen as well as I intended, since I got accepted into a day job in March which really constricted the days off I so took advantage of to get so many tracks out on such a good schedule. Since "bon odori" was mostly dream-pop, lo-fi and shoegaze inspired, I figured I'd go back to my dance roots after all that experimenting. While this took a lot longer than I had intended, it took even longer for me to become satisfied with the end result, especially since working on "bon odori" had raised my own expectations for myself.

Anyway, even when spanned across a two-month's timeframe, this remix also has one of my longest production times, taking me over six hours. My BRB remix took only four, and that was done completely by ear, whereas this one was an imported MIDI. (Thank you so much, MaestroMikes! Much credit.)

All talking on work and what-not aside, I LOVE Freedom Planet! I've already had a Freedom Planet-related upload but that was more of just a meme bandwagon I was riding on.

Freedom Planet is a brilliant game. Freedom Planet is a speed-based platform game heavily inspired by the Genesis-era Sonic titles and other games from the era. If you enjoyed any classic Sonic titles, Freedom Planet is a game for you, simple as that. Freedom Planet also has a well-written and engrossing story with entertaining characters. The art is so colorful and the colors are so vibrant and well-planned, it doesn't feel like a single aspect of the game wasn't carefully planned out. It's pure platforming perfection, and I'm so incredibly excited for the sequel, especially after playing the demo, which left me in awe and wanting more. Everything has been expanded on and improved, from the controls and the platforming, the boss fights, the music (composed by the WONDERFUL Woofle! You should definitely check out her compositions on her Soundcloud!), the graphics and animations, and seemingly everything else. Please play the demo if you're interested and play the original Freedom Planet if you can!
