CHERI HONKALA, organizer for 30+ years, will lead a class on the Basics of HOW TO ORGANIZE people. Other experienced organizers will be in the meeting, and all are welcome to provide input.

We want revolutionary change in society to move towards a cooperative economy and society. In order to get there, we need to build ourselves as leaders that can give direction to struggles that form, to the inevitable fightback that occurs with exploitation, oppression, and changes in society that are occurring.

Becoming a revolutionary leader starts from the fundamentals of how to organize people-- and this includes:

how to identify what people want/issues in communities or society
how to include people in the process
how to motivate people
how to create the right message
how to move through disagreements
how to identify and groom other future leaders

We can also talk about what it means to be a Poor People's Army, discipline, and decision-making in an army/movement setting.
