After a productive weekend on the 14th/15th December looking for hammerhead sharks, I had a heap of footage of these amazing creatures so I threw a quick edit together. There is also a group of Bronze Whaler sharks in the area at the moment as well to add to the sharky goodness!

The hammerhead sharks become plentiful in this particular area during the summer period and it becomes a very popular snorkeling attraction. We are extremely lucky to have a spot like this on our doorstep here in Perth, there are not many places in the world where you can snorkel with these magnificent animals with such ease. To add to that uniqueness, it's believed these hammerheads are "Scalloped Hammerheads", a species that is listed as endangered, and is also considered rare to be found this far down the coast line of WA.
