Hamish Henderson interviewed on 22nd January 1986 by Alexander Hutchsion, at the School of Scottish Studies, 27-29 George Square, Edinburgh.

Henderson talks about Hugh MacDiarmid and the folk song revival, with reference to their public arguments in the letters pages of The Scotsman newspaper in March-April 1964, and folk singer Jeannie Robertson.

Extracts of this interview were featured in the cassette magazine 'Bonfire', recorded and edited by Scottish poet Alexander Hutchison, Edinburgh, 1986. Also included on the cassette: readings by Norman MacCaig, an interview with Ronald Stevenson, and songs by Jo Miller and Lorraine Jordan.

A copy of the 'Bonfire' cassette exists in the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh.
