Women in Wildland Fire (https://womeninwildlandfire.weebly.com/) presents a virtual panel, with the support of Grassroots Culture Committee, featuring a powerhouse of fire professionals. The panel will discuss careers in the wildland fire world, pivotal moments, allyship, and why to enter and stay in wildland fire. This event is open to all genders. This is a great event for folks new to the fire world who may not see themselves represented in the greater wildland fire community.

Who are Women in Wildland Fire?
We are current and former Wildland Firefighters who have come together to share the experiences of women in fire. We aim to explore the challenges faced, highlight the progress made, and build a community to support and assist women and other underrepresented groups in this field.
Panelists work in the wildfire world in a diversity ways, whether that is directly with fire through wildfire management and intentional fire, or through wildfire focused careers in the fields of social and ecological science, advocacy and policy, and program management. We are excited to share a conversation with these panelists to explore the opportunities within and beyond the wildland firefighting world so that we may continue to cultivate an intentional fire community that values one another and the landscapes we work within. Panelists will answer questions considering ideas on allyship, pivotal times in their careers, and why they decided to enter and stay in the wildfire world.
