How To Use The Crafter in Minecraft 1.21! ▫ Survival Guide S3 ▫ Tutorial Let's Play [Ep.95]

The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 3 continues in Minecraft 1.21 - the Tricky Trials Update!

In today's video we update our world to 1.21 for the first time, and immediately get stuck into my favourite new redstone component: the Crafter. For the first time, automatic crafting is possible in vanilla thanks to this elegant and powerful block.

We start by discussing the basics of interacting with the crafter, feeding ingredients in using hoppers, and activating it using redstone - then move on to an example of how one crafter and a single type of material can be set up to create many different items!

The Crafter is also a huge quality of life improvement for farms we've had since early game. We attach it to our skeleton farm so it can convert bows into dispensers which would be annoying to craft manually. Then we plug it into the melon farm to craft melon slices back into melons for villager trading, and attach it to the Iron Farm so the iron is converted directly into blocks, saving a huge amount of storage space!

Along the way, I use the word 'splendid' a lot, and discover the best compact crafter-comparator circuits for different scenarios.
