Our choice of red, white, and blue is deliberate. These colours are woven through the story of North America and the peoples who shaped its frontier: the Union Jack, the Red Ensign, the Betsy Ross, and the tricolours of France and the Netherlands are but a few.
From the forests of Acadia to New Amsterdam’s harbor, from Batoche to the Alamo: these flags and their colours mark a shared heritage of endurance, exploration, and struggle.
