We should try to eat at least 5 servings a day.

2. Drink plenty of fluids

Adults should drink at least 1.5 litres of fluid a day.

Water is the best source to maintain your health. You can also try fruit juices, tea, soft drinks, milk and other drinks to keep yourself hydrated from time to time.

3. Be Physically Active

Being physically active is important for adults as it helps in burning extra calories and good for your heart and overall health well-being.

You can use the stairs instead of the elevator and also go for a walk during lunch breaks.

4. Eat a variety of foods

For maintaining good health, we need more than 40 different nutrients and you can get them if you eat a variety of foods.

A high-fat lunch could be followed by a low-fat dinner. Try to eat healthy foods daily.

5. Reduce salt and sugar intake

A high salt intake can result in high blood pressure, and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Sugar might taste good to you, but processed sugars aren't good for you. Eating a lot of refined, added sugars can lead to headaches, low energy levels, and inflammation.
