Key moments: EAM S Jaishankar’s diplomatic mission in Russia

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar concluded his 5-day visit to Russia on December 29. Jaishankar held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on December 27 where he underscored the significant progress in India-Russia bilateral trade, surpassing USD 50 billion. He also had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and discussed the bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries. Jaishankar held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and signed a protocol on consultations for the period 2024-2028. EAM paid homage to the Gandhi Monument at the Embassy of India in Moscow. Jaishankar interacted with the Indian community in Moscow. EAM interacted with Indologists in St Petersburg where he asserted the Government’s effort of aiming to make India a successful and developed country in the next 25 years. He met the Governor of St Petersburg Alexander Beglov on December 29. On his last day visit to Russia, the Minister visited a school named after Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in Russia’s St Petersburg.
