Former Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu Arrested by CID in Skill Development Scam | TDP Chief Arrest

N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, found himself under arrest today amid allegations of corruption. The arrest unfolded early in the morning as officers from the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department moved in after a night of high drama.

Late last night, officers arrived at a function hall in Nandyal and served an arrest warrant to Mr. Naidu, but they faced resistance from his supporters, preventing his immediate custody. Amidst the verbal exchange between TDP supporters and the police, the officers asserted they possessed substantial evidence, highlighting its inclusion in the remand report.

A notice served to Mr. Naidu by senior CID officer M Dhanunjayudu stated, "You have been arrested... at 6 am at R K Function Hall, Gnanapuram, H/o Moolasagaram, Nandyala town, and it is a non-bailable offence." Following his arrest, Naidu was subsequently transferred to Vijayawada.
