What makes a live action Disney remake work? At this point, most of us have seen enough of them to know which ones were necessary and which ones… not so much. It seems like there’s a new live action remake of a classic we all know and love being announced all the time, so it’s hard not to think about which ones we’d love to see next. Well, we put some serious thought into which live action remakes we’d be buying tickets to and which ones we’re not so interested in seeing. All in all, there are quite a few live action remakes we’d really like to see, and they’re all appealing for different reasons. Most people like their live action remakes to be actually live action, which is why movies with casts entirely made up of animals are usually a no-go. We’re making exceptions for The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, and The Rescuers. Then there are the Disney princesses who we’re still excited to see cast as real actors, like Tangled, Frozen, The Princess and the Frog, Brave, and Pocahontas. There are older classics that are ready for a reboot like The Emperor’s New Groove, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Sword in The Stone, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. And, then there are just the ones that we think would be so fun to watch in a new iteration, like Encanto, Hercules, Up, The Incredibles. So, which ones do you want to see?
