The San Francisco Bay is home to over 250+ Great White Sharks (according to Nat GEO), strong currents, and some of the coldest waters in the World - but that didn’t stop Amy Appelhans Gubser. In May 2024, Amy became the 1st Swimmer in history to swim 29.7 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallon Islands - amongst sharks while getting stung by Jellyfish over 20 times!
