What is an operating system?
An operating system (OS) is a software program that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs. It is the interface between the computer hardware and the applications that run on it.
Examples of popular operating systems include Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android. The choice of operating system depends on the type of device and the tasks it is intended to perform.
