"King St. W," a visual with Rack & Pinion creative empowered by the IXXI INITIATIVE.

"Back in November, Toronto’s Sean Leon released his latest album CCWMTT seemingly out of nowhere and right on the heels of his audio-visual album I Think You’ve Gone Mad.

Now the founder of the IXXI collective (Daniel Caesar among others) releases visuals for “King St. W.” The video finds Sean on a streetcar ride through the Parkdale neighbourhood of Toronto’s King Street West on a rainy late night, contemplating the crossroads he’s currently facing with his music and career.

Not one to sit still, the enigmatic artist and rapper is opening an exhibit and experiential pop-up event in his former home in Parkdale.

Titled “Up Out The Basement”, the experience is set to provide fans with an incredibly intimate look behind the artist’s on-mic personae — a snapshot of years of literal grinding, growing and learning — all within the confines of that basement apartment off King Street West that has so obviously defined much of Leon’s music and life.
