대통령 개헌안 공개 마지막 날, 대통령 4년 연임제 도입

The Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae this week has been releasing the details of its proposed revision of the Constitution.
And today saw the third and final part of the summary... this time about the proposed form of government, and changes to the government structure.
Key... is the idea of a four-year, two-term presidency,... instead of the current one-term, five-year system.
Here's the President's senior secretary for civil affairs this morning.

"Now is the time to implement a four year, two-term presidential system to realize responsible politics and the stable management of state affairs. It is also the will of the public."

However, the Blue House stressed the proposed system would not apply to the current President, Moon Jae-in; his term would end as scheduled on May 9th, 2022.
There would also be changes to the electoral system.
The presidential and local elections would be held at the same time, starting four years from now, with a general election for the National Assembly serving as a mid-term evaluation.
The government's amendment bill also looks to lower the legal voting age to 18.
