I am so fed up of carrying this thing! But its worth it every time we get it out as you will see.

Through the most recent "heatwave" I was incredibly busy with work so didn't get much chance to enjoy it, this was the last day so even though I was tired I forced myself out.Amika loves being outside and what better way to spend than out and about on Thirlmere Reservoir, this really is one of my favourite places for many reasons. The dramatic backdrops of the mountains and forests and the fact its usually totally empty, its paradise for me and I prefer this to any other lake in the Lake District if I'm honest.

We inflated the kayak and headed on to the water for a few hours, Amika took her bubbles and we both had such a great time, bit a stone throwing at the end and skimming, then it was time to go home before heading out for the weekend tomorrow. Fantastic time!

Thirlmere reservoir is just south of Keswick, if your in the area then pay it a visit, you will not be disappointed!

Note: I really need to get a new bag for the damn Kayak!!!
