Mendhar: Public Inconvenience Due to Vacating of Bus Stand

Mendhar has been facing severe public inconvenience following the vacating of the local bus stand. Expressing serious concern over the situation, the current President of the Sumo Union, Mr. Kafeel Khan, stated that people from all areas of Mendhar are suffering greatly due to the absence of a functional bus stand.

Mr. Khan said that daily commuters, passengers, drivers, shopkeepers, and small traders are facing immense difficulties. The sudden disruption has brought local business activities to a standstill, directly affecting the livelihood of poor and working-class families who depend on transport-related employment for their survival.

He further added that the bus stand has always been the backbone of Mendhar’s local economy, and its closure has resulted in chaos, inconvenience, and financial losses. Elderly people, students, women, and patients are among the worst affected due to the lack of proper transport arrangements.

The Sumo Union President, on behalf of the local public, has appealed to the district administration to immediately take notice of the issue and ensure that the bus stand is re-developed, re-arranged, and restored to its previous condition at the earliest.
