Snow apocalypse in Istanbul! Chaos as snowstorm hits Balkans and Turkey!
On Friday the 11th of March, a strong snowstorm hit western black sea area and Istanbul forcing schools to close, canceling flights and causing major chaos on the roads. Such snowstorm is not unusual in Istanbul if it was in January or February. But Istanbul has not seen such heavy snowfall in March since 1987. And it has not come to an end yet. Heavy snowfalls are expected to continue till Sunday.
