My name's Jayson Markey and I review movies and albums, recap TV shows and react to trailers and music videos! Seven Seconds is a crime drama from Netflix that follows the people involved in investigating the death of a young black boy. The series is from creator Veena Sud. The series is based on the Russian movie The Major (2013). The first season consisting of ten episodes was released on Netflix in 2018. After Brenton Butler, a black teenager from Jersey City, is accidentally run over by a white police officer, a cover-up ensues and racial tensions explode. This is timely given BLM (Black Lives Matter) and Trump and racism and gang violence. Episode 2 is called Brenton's Breath.
