On March 4th, 1980, in Stevenage, England, Susan Lowson and her four-year-old daughter, Amanda, lived happily in a peaceful neighborhood. Susan, a single mother who recently went through a divorce, devoted herself to giving Amanda the best life possible. One morning, a fire broke out in their home while Michael Knowles, a milkman making his morning rounds, noticed the smoke. He heard a child crying for help from inside the burning house. Without a second thought, Michael rushed in and found Amanda on the stairs, injured but alive. He bravely carried her to safety.
