Alibaug Beach A to Z : Complete guide to explore Alibaug in Budget || अलिबाग || Alibaug Trip

Alibaug, also known as Alibaug is a coastal town and a municipal council in Raigad District of Maharashtra, India. It is situated at a distance of about 96 km from Mumbai and 143 km from Pune.

In this video, I have shared the complete details and itinerary for 1 day trip from Mumbai to Alibaug in budget and that too at only under 900. We started our journey in the morning 5:30 am and reached home at around 7 PM. It was an overall 13 hour 30 min journey, in which I enjoyed ferry ride, alibaug beach, Kolaba fort and return by PNP ferry.

Here are the some of the Fun Facts about my trip:

Funfact #1: Alibaug derived its name in the most interesting manner.
A Bene Israelite named Ali used to live in Alibaug. He owned a number of mango and coconut plantations in his gardens. Hence the locals used to call the place "Alichi Bagh" (Marathi for "Ali's Garden"), or simply "Alibag", and the name stuck.

Funfact #2: The most important tip when we are travelling to a new city is to take information from the local shopkeepers/residents. This will help you a lot to save a lot money and travel in budget

Funfact #3: Kolaba Fort (sometimes Colaba Fort or Alibaug Fort) is an old fortified maritime base in Alibaug, Konkan, India. It is situated in the sea at a distance of 1–2 km from the shores of Alibag. In the day time you have to take speed boat to go to Colaba fort while in evening you have to take horse ride to go to fort because water goes away from the shores.
