Pakistan has launched a new state-of-the-art system for real-time tracking of passport applications printing and delivery Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced in Islamabad. Named Shikra Secure Hybrid Intelligence for Knowledge-Based Response Analytics the system includes a 24/7 monitoring room and a dedicated call center to oversee passport services across the country and at Pakistani missions abroad.

Naqvi said Shikra allows authorities to track every stage of the passport process from application submission to printing and delivery improving transparency efficiency and speed for citizens. The platform also provides officials with a digital dashboard to monitor staff performance operational bottlenecks and office backlogs in real time.

The system integrates automated printing machinery enhancing capacity and reducing human error while emergency travel documents are now fully digitized. Naqvi emphasized that the upgrade brings Pakistan’s passport services in line with international standards including those set by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Officials say the new platform will not only make processing faster but also strengthen security and ensure compliance with global best practices. Citizens can now track their passports at every step both domestically and from overseas missions providing peace of mind and greater accountability.
