#Rattigali is an alpine glacial lake in #Azad #Kashmir. It’s one of the highest lakes in the world by an altitude. The elevation of Ratti Gali Lake about 13000 feet above sea level, the peaceful, crystal clear glacial waters of this lake is surrounded by the wilderness of probably one of the most attractive mountainous regions in the world. The vastness of #meadows with dancing wildflowers, the place is filled with mesmerizing natural wonders.
The crystal clear and shining blue water of the Ratti Gali Lake is surrounded by snow-covered mountains all year round. In fact, it is only accessible between the months of July and October. The rest of the year, heavy snowfall makes it impossible to hike to the lake. Red and Blue flowers are the best to Sight along the hike towards Ratti Gali.
Ratti Gali Lake is found in one of the remotest regions in Pakistan. #Muzaffarabad, which is the administrative capital of Azad Kashmir and the closest major city to the lake, is also at a distance of 151 kilometers. It’s a place that adventure-seekers would love visiting as reaching Ratti Gali Lake involves a lot of traveling and trekking. It may be roughly around a 6-to 8-hour long journey (From Muzaffarabad City), depending on the flow of the traffic and weather conditions.

• Direct travel from Muzaffarabad to Ratti Gali Lake about 151Kms 7hrs & 45 Minutes maximum
From Keran to Ratti Gali Lake; first reach Dowarian, a small village (after 17Kms & 1hr drive from Keran or Upper Neelum). From there take a link road from Ratti Gali; it’s totally off road (Rocky, bumpy, Jumpy & ultra shaky road but exhilarating and scenic drive) on the way of Ratti Gali Glaciers waterfalls & water stream , reddish brown mountains and meadows covered with different colorful flowers. After 21Kms ; 2hrs and 45 minutes drive reach at Ratti Gali Base camp.
Short stay for breakfast or refreshment, after that if you have enough time to explore maximum destinations you can first visit to #Hansraj Lake, Shabnum Lake and #KalaSar 1& 2 lakes.

• Base camp to Ratti Gali Lake distances about 1.5km & 1hr trekking & steep hiking or you take horse ride to reach there about 20 minutes distance.
• From Basecamp to Hansraj Lake about 4hrs steep hiking and trekking or you can takes horse ride to reach there about 1hrs 45 minutes distance.
• From Hansraj Lake to Kala Sar 1&2 about 50 minutes steep hiking & trekking.
