Khan was brought before the court on Tuesday after his police custody ended. The investigation into the firing incident, which occurred in a residential building in Oshiwara, is still underway, with authorities examining evidence and collecting statements. Khan is expected to remain in judicial custody while the investigation continues, with the court likely to set the next hearing date soon. Last week, he was arrested by the Mumbai Police after being interrogated regarding the firing incident. According to police reports, the incident prompted a review of CCTV footage and interviews with various witnesses. Initially, Khan was taken into custody for questioning, during which he reportedly admitted that the firing was executed with his licensed firearm. A Bandra Court subsequently ordered his police custody until January 27. In defense of Khan, his advocate Nagesh Mishra characterized the case as fabricated, claiming that Khan was wrongfully implicated. Mishra argued that the police's assertion that Khan fired a bullet from his gun was inaccurate, citing the gun's limited range compared to the distance of the incident. He insisted that Khan has no involvement in the firing and suggested that influential figures in Bollywood are pressuring the police to frame him.
