A Week On A Luxury Houseboat Echuca | DJI Mavic Mini

We spent a week on a luxury houseboat in Echuca along the Murray River. The houseboat was from a fleet by Luxury Houseboats Echuca, and the specific houseboat shown in this video was called "Envy". With 6 king bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 8 TVs and a spa on the top floor... you can understand where the name comes from. You will see it all in this luxury houseboat tour!

I spent a lot of time in the spa. We also enjoyed kayaking and bird watching from the boat. I managed to also fly my DJI Mavic Mini, despite the small area to take off from. Overall we had a nice time... but my sister lost her phone, and my other sister lost her go pro... so I held on tight to my devices for sure! My brother has a boat now - which you can see dragging along behind the houseboat or with us driving around in it. That was also good to have - sometimes being on a houseboat (although relaxing) can get boring without having other things to do like that.

An honest review of the business: We arrived for our houseboat on time... early, in fact. They still hadn't finished cleaning the boat when we arrived so there was a lot of waiting around. We cut them some slack due to the timing of COVID restrictions easing and everybody getting back into business. I noticed one of the cleaners dump the dirty mop bucket water into the river - which I wasn't very impressed with. It was also a bit difficult to unload all of our stuff onto the houseboat, as the only way we could do it was to drag it all down this long metal ramp where all the other houseboats are moored. The staff seemed distracted as well and overfilled the spa, so it flooded upstairs. The houseboat was clean, but the windows were very dirty on the outside - which especially showed up when the sun was shining. It would have been nice to have the windows cleaned from the outside just to make the most of the views (which are amazing on the river!) Aside from that, there seemed to be a lot of black dust on surfaces (especially the walls) which wiped off when I tried to clean it - I assume from the pollution - but it would be nice if that had been wiped clean (especially in the kitchen). Another thing that could have been better was the rubbish bin - it was broken which made it difficult to use. One of the TV shelves was also hanging off the wall - needs to be fixed. And the biggest issue - the bugs at night. They kept getting in! This is because the doors aren't sealed properly upstairs - as in - there is actually a gap along the edge of the door frames where they connect to the wall - so all the bugs got in and drove us crazy at night when trying to get ready for bed. The houseboat in general could have benefited from a "how to" booklet, for things like air conditioning and using the speakers - which nobody could figure out during the entire week we were there. The beds weren't very comfy either - just two single beds pushed together but very hard... a mattress topper could possibly help, or just better mattresses. I would love to see more "luxury" from Echuca Luxury Houseboats.
