My friends and I had such a fun girl's trip to Cancún that lasted from Sunday through Friday. Hotel, flight, and transportation to and from the airport was booked a few months in advanced through Expedia.com. The added experiences were booked via viator.com. I highly recommend this website for adding on activities and experiences to your vacation. Below is a detailed overview of my vacation, including the resort I stayed in, places to eat, and activities I recommend based on my experience.
VACATION DETAILS ⬇️
✨ Resort: GR Solaris Cancun (Resort & Spa) - I would rate this resort a 7/10. It is pretty average, but the plus side is that it is budget friendly. Some of the cons would be the lack of food options available. Other resorts that I've been to have on-site restaurants to choose from, and this one only had about two restaurants, plus small outdoor grab-and-go snack spots. Also, room service food could have been better--it appeared to be frozen, microwaveable food. However, something a positive pro is the service we received. The staff was super friendly, especially the staff in the cafe we would frequent for breakfast/brunch. The brunch selection was pretty delicious, which is a plus. It was buffet style, but due to COVID, a staff member serves you.
FOOD ⬇️
📍El Fish Fritanga: This seafood restaurant was recommended to me by a family member, and it did not disappoint. It's within a medium-high price-level range, which is pretty normal for a nice sit-down restaurant. My friends and I loved this place because it was completely outdoors, on the sand, and by the lagoon. At night time, we felt the cool breeze, which was beautiful. Here, we ordered the Guacamole, Fried Fish, Aguachiles, Rib-Eye, Watermelon Margaritas (super-strong!), and Piña Ice Cream. All in all, this was a great and delicious dining experience and I give it an 8.5/10.

📍Harry's Grill (Steakhouse & Raw Bar): This was the BEST dining experience my friends and I had. It probably is one of the best I have ever had in general. This restaurant comes in at a high-price point, but the experience and food is well worth it. The vibe is very upscale, modern-chic. We were able to sit outside next to the water, which was so beautiful at night because we were able to catch the last bit of the sunset. There is a mixologist on-site with a cart that is ready to take any of your drinking orders. Food wise, their menu is delicious. If you're a red meat lover, this will be heaven to you. There is a staff member walking around with a cart full of raw meats, who introduces all the different types of cuts available. My friend was able to base her decision because of that. Aside from meat, I recommend the pasta. I ordered the Lobster Risotto, and it was amazing! For dessert, we had one of the signature desserts called Harry's Foot, and it was one of the best dessert's i've had. It's a homemade macadamia nut ice cream cake, with an Oreo ® cookie base and topped with melted chocolate.
I give this restaurant a 9.5/10.

ACTIVITIES ⬇️
🌊 XPLOR by Xcaret: This water-based adventure park is a MUST! This park has six different day-long activities that will test your endurance. From zip-lining, to water rafting, the adventure doesn't stop. Guests are given a helmet which must be worn at all times. You must also wear closed-toed waterproof shoes. If you don't have any, you can purchase them on-site, which I did. It's also a nice souvenir at the end. I highly recommend purchasing the Picture Package because you're able to snap an unlimited amount of photos throughout your adventure at the park. There are multiple high-quality cameras throughout the park, and once you purchase the picture option, you can simply wave your hand in front of the camera sensor, and you'll get amazing photos without having to bring your phone. We stored all our belongings in a locker, which is included with the experience. Unlimited food was also included with the experience, which was nice. Food was buffet style and it was delicious. They had such a great variety of food to choose from. I rate this experience a 10/10.
🌊 Catamaran Sailing Experience to Isla Mujeres: This boat fits about 30-40 people and takes you to Isla Mujeres. It has an open bar to and from the island. Also, on the way to the Isla, it makes a 30 minute stop for people to go snorkeling (if they want to). The boat drops you off for about 4 hours on the Isla and it includes an hour-long lunch buffet. Going to Isla Mujeres is a must because compared to the beach front we were at, this beachfront and water was so CLEAN. Seriously, the water was so blue, it was beautiful! I give this experience a 8.5/10, but the beach is definitely a 9.5/10.
