Robin Reflects on 12 Years with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer

Описание к видео Robin Reflects on 12 Years with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer

Robin Miller was an extraordinary woman, and her story must be shared. Living for 12 years with metastatic breast cancer, through most of her 20s and until she was 34, Robin dedicated her life to helping others. A majority of her work was in Lymphedema. She ultimately revolutionized the Lymphedema industry through her "disruptive" work in co-founding LympheDIVAs, her ongoing work at the National Lymphedema Network, and more. Robin was a fighter and she'd be proud to be known as an all-around "bad ass". Her struggle was gargantuan, yet she powered through it sharp-tongued and unapologetic, fighting for the rights of patients and towards a cure. She is grateful to her family and friends, who she loved so dearly, and to the medical staff whom she turned into partners over time. You can experience Robin here in this video, just months before her hard fight came to an end. May we all carry with us the fearless nature of this woman. And as Robin would say, "Fuck Cancer."
