Oh dear, it's yet another one of those videos where I share with you my discovery of a plugin that I am horrified I didn't know about years ago. A video where I lay bare my pain for all to see!

Spam. It's an inherent part of WordPress, it’s been around for as long as WordPress itself and it's a genuine nightmare! Your lovely blog, constantly under attack from bots flooding your comments and forms (more on forms in a sec) with tons of rubishness every hour of every day.

There are of course many many plugins that can help with this issue, none more famous than the first of its kind “A kis met” developed by none other than our very own Mr Mullenweg a couple of years after WP hit the interwebs.

I’ve used various plugs over the years, including Akismet, and all do a pretty good job stopping the spam - Antispam Bee is another goodie - but I sit here, once again stunned that I didn't know about the plugin that’s the subject if today’s video and that is the outstanding “WP Armour – Honeypot Anti Spam” plugin. It just works. Like, it just really really works.

And here’s the gold - WP Armour is not just for comments - it stops spam from forms too! Form spam is in the most part is even more annoying than comment spam as likely an email is sent to your lovely client who invariably gets pretty miffed off and comes strait to you demanign you fix the issue - and you’ll likely go down the route of getting ReCaptcha or some other version of that on all your forms.
