Xi3 had a prototype Steam Box at CES 2013 called Piston. Specs are still up in the air, but it is based on the X7 form factor. Xi3 did announce that they did receive a investment from Valve (undisclosed amount).

Just to go verify a few things we headed over to the Valve booth (almost did not see it due to the minimal signs), but their entire area was closed off only to potential partners. We did catch a glimpse of some non-branded consoles in their booth so we're pretty excited to what type of hardware is in the works that work with Steam and Big Picture
