South Sudan is the youngest country in the world, becoming independent in 2011 after decades of conflict. Currently, 1 in 3 South Sudanese are displaced. OCHA estimates over 3/4 of the country will require humanitarian assistance in 2023 due to compound effects of conflict, flooding, food insecurity, and lack of access to basic services.

In a country with over 75% youth and over 60% females, women and girls are powerful agents for peace and change. This song is from the South Girls, 3 young artists from South Sudan with a message to all peace agents across the world - 'Believe in peace and believe in yourselves. And together we can reach a better tomorrow.'

Enjoy this collaboration with the South Girls and a support band of UN peacekeepers (playing in a private/personal capacity and not part of any official activity).
