This is video #037 in my Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time playthrough. Before moving on with the plot line, it's time to send Link up the river. Zora's River, that is. At the circle of rocks near the entrance, play the Song of Storms to open another underground cave. A couple of Business Scrubs here sell potions, if you need any.

Further ahead, if Link planted a magic bean in the patch next to the beam salesman, a mature flying plant will be available. This will make it much easier to progress through the river. Link gets off at the plateau where the fairy's fountain is. At night, Gold Skulltula #47 will come out to scratch around on the southern ridge nearby.

Farther east, after Link crosses the bridge of wooden planks, hop up carefully onto the fence. Link's Hookshot will have just enough range to kill Gold Skulltula #48, which appears on the northwest corner of the ridge wall at that bend.

At the east end of the river, you may notice that it is snowing. Things get clearer when Link stops the waterfall and enters Zora's Domain. I wonder what's behind this sudden cold snap. Even stranger, King Zora seems to be trapped in red ice.

Up in Zora's Fountain, Jabu-Jabu seems to be gone. In his place, there are ice floes all about. On one of the floes, Link can find Piece of Heart #23!

Next, Link hops on Epona and rides all the way south to Lake Hylia. Things are even stranger here; the lake is much lower than it was seven years ago. First off, Link takes the magic bean plant up to the roof of the laboratory, where a ladder leads up to the top platform. Someone left Piece of Heart #24 all the way up here.

Next, Link heads to the tilled field where the scarecrows were seven years ago. At the moment, only Bonooru is here. If you play the same song that you played as Young Link, Link will then be able to summon Pierre the scarecrow at various places using that song. Pierre the scarecrow will serve as a Hookshot target, so it is in your best interest to do this.

Finally, the flying magic bean plant will fly link to the Fishing Pond. Time to catch another fish!
