Cymbidiums—blooms and care

Описание к видео Cymbidiums—blooms and care

Cymbidiums are hardy terrestrial (or ground) orchids. In warmer areas, they can be grown in the ground. In climates where temperatures drop to or below freezing, cover the ground where they grow with a thick layer of mulch to keep them warm. They are hardy and can survive down to 40 degrees F or as high as 100 degrees F. However, it's advisable to keep them between 50-80 degrees F to keep them thriving. They require a constant drop in temperature of about 10-15 degrees at night in the fall or winter for several weeks to induce blooming.
