In this video, we will solve a numerical problem on the analysis of beam sections at transfer and service loads. We will be considering a prestressed concrete beam with a cross-sectional area of 200 mm2 and an initial pre-stress of 200 N/mm2. The beam is 4 m long and has a modulus of elasticity of 30 kN/mm2. The concrete has a shrinkage strain of 300 x 10^-6 and a creep coefficient of 1.5.

We will calculate the following:

The flexural stress at transfer load
The deflection at transfer load
