Fall army worm (Spodoptera frugiperda) has emerged as a hard to kill insect in the maize crop. It is not easily controled through any insecticide espacially on later stages if not properly addressed well in time. No doubt Radiant Arysta @ 80- 100 ml or Daligat of Engro (Spintoram) @ 60 gram/acre, are equally effective but expensive insecticide. They provide effective control, better than most other insecticides but they are expensive. We have also posted 11 suggestions for economic selection of insecticides for further guidance. In this video, we have suggested the repeated application of Fipronil @ 480 ml plus Emamectin @ 250-300 ml/ acre as an alternate of Radiant/ Daligate for the control of fall army worm in maize.
