Our first event of the year 2018! The city was warm and had a good vibe to it! We started with lunch at Nisarg and enjoyed delicious seafood out there and headed for the venue. The idea for this event was to try doing things a little differently, so we did. There were a lot of firsts in this event. This was the first time 4 Streamers were flown down by brands to participate in the event, create content around the event with vlogs, streams etc. We started with the volunteer briefing while the rest of the team moved to setup. A local Cafe called Havok Nation helped us with PC’s for the event. They were of great help throughout the event. They had a booth as well at the event where gamers got to know about their cafe.
Rainbow Six Siege was showcased for the first time on Alienware notebooks in a 5v5 Tournament Setup. Fortnite was showcased for the first time at Pune. Dell Gaming came up with paytm cash back offer for the event which encouraged people to buy at the event. They also flew down one of the top CS:GO teams, Team Brutality, to interact with the crowd and they were happy to be there. 1600 gamers attended the event and were thrilled to get their hands on all the new games and latest hardware. Dell also ran a treasure hunt contest during the event, where the gamers unleashed their inner Tomb Raider and shook the entire floor with their excitement. One of the key sponsors ZOTAC showcased their MEK1 a beautiful fully loaded PC, and the gamers of Pune were the first ones to get their hand on it. Over all the event went well and we went back with a lot of learnings for future events.
