Govt. of India’s telemedicine service, eSanjeevani is a robust, scalable, cloud based and one of its kind of a telemedicine platform in the world that has been implemented at around 90,000 Health and Wellness Centres (HWC) and in more than 10,000 Hubs. It is hosting around 100 onlineOPDs. There are over 1,80,000 specialists, doctors and health workers on boarded on eSanjeevani.
eSanjeevani is available in two variants. The first variant, is eSanjeevaniAB-HWC, the Doctor-to-Doctor variant, functions on a Hub-and-Spoke model wherein the ‘Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres’ act as spokes. The second variant eSanjeevaniOPD is a patient to doctor telemedicine system where in the citizens in urban and the rural alike as patients can consult doctors from the comforts of their homes using laptops or Android and iOS smartphones.
