The cultural and creative sector has been one of the worst hit by the fallout from the pandemic.
Yet the arts industry appears determined to bounce back.

It has been forced to adapt in order to survive with the help of technology, with many theatres now offering live-streamed shows. Whether it is the venues now slowly reopening in Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia, cultural destinations are understandably prioritising the health and safety of visitors.

The financial impact has been felt across the arts community, as many of their regular activities have come to a halt. Governments have joined in to support the arts industry with financial and in-kind support. But the future still looks uncertain in the long term – can the industry find its feet?
