আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদেরের ভাগ্নে আলী হায়দার রতনের ১০ দিনের রিমান্ড চেয়েছে পুলিশ। দুপুরে তাকে গাজীপুর আদালতে নেয়া হয়। এর আগে গতরাতে শ্রীপুর থেকে রতনকে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ। এক আত্নীয়ের বাসায় আত্মগোপনে ছিলেন তিনি। পুলিশ জানায়, জুলাই অভ্যুত্থানে গাজীপুরে গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়ে মারা যান জাকির হোসেন রানা ও জুয়েল নামে দু'জন। পরে তাদের পরিবার আ. লীগের প্রায় ১৫০ জনকে আসামী করে হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করে। সেই মামলাগুলোতে গ্রেফতার দেখিয়ে তাকে আদালতে হাজির করে ১০ দিনের রিমান্ড চেয়েছে পুলিশ। এছাড়া, সাবেক সেতু মন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদেরের প্রভাব দেখিয়ে শ্রীপুরে নামে-বেনামে সম্পদ গড়ে তোলারও অভিযোগ আছে তার বিরুদ্ধে।
