Fractions

It term which tell how many parts of a whole number or any certain amount. Simply termed as portion or section or division of any quantity. It is denoted by using ‘/’ symbol, such as 𝑋𝑌.
•For example in 37,the number on top is the numerator, and the number below is the denominator.
•Fractions also have its major application in Ratio.

There are following type of Fractions:
•Proper fractions
•Improper fractions
•Like fractions
•Unlike fractions
•Mixed fractions

Proper Fractions
They can be defined as those where the numerator is less than the denominator. For example, 7/9 will be a proper fraction since “numerator denominator”.

Improper Fractions
The improper fractions, is the fractions where the numerator happens to be greater than the denominator. For example, 12/8 will be an improper fraction since “denominator numerator”.

Like Fractions
Like fractions are those fractions, as the name , they are same.
For example, take 12and 48If you simplify it mathematically, you will get the same fraction.

Unlike Fractions
Unlike fractions, are those that are dissimilar
For example, 34and 45are unlike fractions.

Mixed Fractions
This fraction is the sum of a non-zero integer and proper fraction. Also termed as a mixed number or mixed numeral.

Addition of Fraction:
Example: 415+ 315+515= 4+3+515= 1215= 45Subtraction:738-256=(7 -2) 38−56= 5 + (9−2024)= 4 + (24+9)−2024= 433−2024=41324

Multiplication
=213𝑥337𝑥34=73𝑥247𝑥34=1𝑥2𝑥31𝑥1𝑥1=61=6Evaluate:356÷53= 236÷53= 236𝑥35= 232𝑥15=2310=2310
