Old Rusty and Unusable Lantern Full Restoration

There are 2 old unusable and rusty oil lanterns hanging outside of my store room which I bought before. I feel that it is unworkable after I’ve seen the founts were so bad. But I just wanna bring them back as possible way. These Lanterns were made in China. Kwang Hwa and Anchor Brand Kerosene Lanterns. It is hard to date so I couldn’t say anything about when was it made. The Chinese people called it the horse lantern . Even in English there are a couple of names such as Kerosene Lantern, Tubular Lantern, Oil Lantern , Hurricane Lantern, Storm Lantern , Outdoor Camping Lantern , Oil Lamp and etc…

The Model of these Lanterns is 225, Anchor 225 or Kwang Hwa 225. I prefer this more than the others because its’ globe (Glass, Chimney) is not so easy to get broken as the longer globe. The measurement of 225 is 28 Cm from bottom to the roof top. Globe of Feuerhand 270 or Kwang Hwa225 has 10 Cm (H) and 8 Cm (W). Wick 1.2 Cm is the best for modelthis 225 and some people want to put the 1.5Cm wick. (No recommend) .

For the Oil, I just use the white kerosene and its smell is lovely I feel. People put turpentine, Camp Fuel and Olive Oil I’ve ever seen.
