Growing up at Puʻu O Hoku Ranch there was a lot of stories told about the sacred Kukui grove at Lanikaula. We as children would often run through the forest without any care. It was later that we grew into the understanding of Aunty Marie Place and why she cared for the grove. It is a sacred place for the people of Molokaʻi and a privilege that can share our respect for Kukui O Lanikula.
