ENVISION In Conversation with Pema | The Only Son | Documentary Film

Pema is a Community Marketer at the Destination Marketing Organization in Amsterdam, the Netherlands for the last three years. He was born in Dolpa, high up in the Himalayas of Nepal (West-North), near the border of Tibet- where people live as nomads. His life story was filmed in a documentary called The Only Son by Simonka De Jong, available on Youtube.

After completing high school in Kathmandu, Pema pursued his further education in the Netherlands. Coming from the distant Himalayas of Nepal to the gateway of Europe in the Netherlands, it was a huge culture shock for Pema at the beginning. Yet the journey broaden his horizons to work and adapt to a multi-cultural ambience. His open-minded approach and passion for travelling motivated him to pursue a career in the field of the Tourism and Hospitality industry.
