Bebe is accompanied to the beach by her father, but when he steps away, Harold seizes the opportunity to approach her. The father returns and vehemently opposes Harold's romantic advances. Undeterred, Harold ingeniously communicates with Bebe through a sand tunnel, arranging a dancing date for the night. However, their evening takes an unexpected turn when Bebe's father angrily follows them in his car.

Seeking refuge in the Bowery Cafe, Harold and Bebe fall victim to pickpockets who steal their money and valuables. The situation escalates when the waiter presents the bill, revealing Harold's loss. To avoid further trouble, the couple dances, but chaos ensues when Bebe's father enters the cafe and is also robbed. In a daring display of acrobatics, Harold single-handedly subdues the ruffians, earning the approval of Bebe's father.
