Part XIV: Healing Up at an Old Japanese Inn | Ollie Odyssey Japan Vol. 2

Описание к видео Part XIV: Healing Up at an Old Japanese Inn | Ollie Odyssey Japan Vol. 2

If you read the previous video's description, I mentioned how the weekend Kyoto trip ran into a hiccup. Basically, I got sick. Heading into that weekend, I was feeling out of it. Even in the Kuromon Market video, I started to notice early signs and had to just go back to my place of stay to rest. Then we took the trip to get to Kyoto and I was probably at my worst. The journey to get there felt long and tiring.

When we arrived that evening at Hostel Haruya, I was so relieved. It turned out to be the perfect place to rest up. I lied on the tatami floor and just wanted to stay there forever. My travel companion Yoko was the best. Although we didn't get to do much of what we originally planned, we made the most out of it and spent more time at this place. It was a shared accommodation and you can hear all the little creaks from the other guests, but it somehow still felt like we were in our own little spot and the calming energy helped me feel so relaxed. I hope you get the gist of that vibe here in this video. Obviously, I would never want to get sick, but it led us to have such a pleasant time staying in more and after only a day, I already felt better. Instead of venturing out further, we kept it easygoing and explored the nearby Yasaka Jinja and Nanzen-ji, which turned out wonderful. Remember, sometimes some exciting plans might not work out, but there are alternatives that can turn out just as good. We'll be sure to try to go back sometime to catch the other places we wanted to go!
