Singapore Primary 2022 3rd Grade Update: How it’s going

Here's an update on how things are going using Singapore Math Primary 2022 for 3rd grade. We've used Primary 2022 with my son for a couple years now and it seems to be working for my son, but I also have things that I don't love.
We use Math With Confidence for my 2nd grader and kindergartener which is fun, filled with hands on learning, and really easy to teach and follow. I don't find Singapore Primary 2022 nearly as fun, or engaging, or easy to teach.

However, my son seems to really like doing as much of the math on his own as possible, and picks up concepts quickly so this is working for him. We started 3rd grade with 2B and are going to finish with 3A, possibly start 3B depending on our pace.

We currently use the home instructor's guide, the student book, and Mastery and Beyond. I'll share how we schedule that and why I'm not sure we'll order Mastery and Beyond for next year.

The main thing I'm learing is that when someone says they are doing "Singapore Math" that can mean a LOT of things. There are different versions, different amounts of time spent on math, different interests, different extra resources that each family might choose.

Some families do all the hands on teaching first (as the Singapore way says you should) while others don't. So there's a lot of personalization and figuring out what works for our family going on right now.
