This video is an Ecoking boiler model H200 trying to light off. It starts by showing the flame thru the viewport or sight glass as the flame lights. You can hear the fan running and increasing in speed as part of the process. As the fan speed increases the flame appears to blow out. This happens a few times until the boiler trips out. I pan the video down to the display and it shows service required while flashing red. Code 1 is shown to help troubleshoot the trip. I pushed the reset button and the boiler reset and tried to light off again. Again the same problem where the fan would speed up and the flame would appear to blow out. This happened a few times and then the unit tripped out again with code 1 showing. I've seen code 8 come up as well but most of the time it's code 1. During these last trips the cover has been off the boiler so it should have ample combustion air getting to the boiler. The unit has been recently serviced and a new ignitor installed. Gas pressure has been checked downstream of the regulator and it appears ok. This problem is random as at times the boiler starts fine and runs, at times for many days. Then it will trip as described above and at times is hard to start. Sometimes doing a calibration will allow the unit to start and run but not always. I've had this problem for many months and would hopefully like to solve it before winter.
