翁清溪天生音感過人，小學五年級私下拿起口琴把玩，就悟出了道理。23歲時更進入美軍俱樂部演出，對於當時流行的大樂團編曲方式最為崇拜，後來還自組湯尼大樂隊及台視大樂團。他的影響力遍及廣播、歌廳、電視及電視，傳世作品包括「月亮代表我的心」、「小城故事」、「南海姑娘」、「葡萄成熟時」、「大眼睛」、「愛神」、「秋水長天」等，堪稱是台灣流行音樂文化的創造者及見證者。
Weng Qingxi was born with a strong voice. In the fifth grade of elementary school, he picked up the harmonica and played with him in private, and he realized the truth. When he was 23 years old, he entered the American military club to perform. He admired the popular big orchestra arrangement method most at the time. Later, he organized the Tony Big Band and the Taiwan TV Big Band. His influence has spread to radio, karaoke, TV and television. His handed down works include "The Moon Represents My Heart", "A Story of a Small Town", "Girls in the South Sea", "When the Grapes Are Mature", "Big Eyes", "Eros", "Autumn Water and Long Sky" are the creators and witnesses of Taiwan's popular music culture.
