This is an expanded audio story from WVIA News. On Tuesday, Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti announced her bid for the U.S. House of Representatives. Cognetti is hoping to oust current Republican freshman Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who is serving the 8th Congressional District - which includes all of Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna Counties and portions of Luzerne and Monroe counties. WVIA News Politics Reporter Borys Krawczeniuk sat down with Cognetti to discuss the campaign launch.
