World's finest hot air fan

Описание к видео World's finest hot air fan

This, in my humble opinion, is one of the finest, if not the finest, hot air engine fans ever manufactured. It was machined with great precision and runs quieter than a sewing machine, even after over 100 years. Note that there is no detectable runout of the flywheel rim. The manufacturer, Hubertus Raab of Zeitz, Germany, also made the hot air fans sold in Asia by Carl Jost (seen in several of my videos). This fan, however, does not have cooling fins and was apparently made for the European market. It was offered as model no. 1425 by retailers Dingeldey & Werres of Berlin in 1909-10. Unlike the vast majority of Jost fans, this model used a more efficient beta-type stirling engine design; only the earliest belt-driven Jost fans used a similar engine.
