Welcome back to Aurora Tech Channel. Today, I will be reviewing the xTool F1. This is a fast laser engraver that doesn't use any stepper motors and belts to move the laser head around the X and Y axes. Instead, it uses a dual-galvanometer, which means it uses two mirrors to reflect the laser beam, allowing it to move as quickly as 4000mm/s or 240,000mm per minute. Apart from its speed, it also comes with two types of lasers: the 10W diode laser, which is typically used in standard desktop engravers, and a 2W infrared laser. The diode laser is suitable for engraving on wood but not on metal. On the other hand, the IR laser can engrave on metal. With these combined, you can work on various materials. In this video, using the IR laser, I will test out different kinds of metals, including steel, aluminum, and gold. Additionally, I will use the diode laser to work with woods, slate, plastic, and other common materials.
